Matthew Parker
Matthew Parker is an inquisitive boy in the town of Odyssey with a passion for tinkering - computers, gadgets, robots, and go-karts all end up in his hands, sometimes improved and sometimes spectacularly broken. His curiosity occasionally outruns his judgment, but he owns up to his mistakes and keeps rebuilding, often with encouragement from Whit at Whit's End. Alongside his best friend Emily Jones he runs the Jones and Parker Detective Agency, supplying technical know-how and level-headed observation to her relentless drive as they crack mysteries around town. He lives with his father David, his mother Eva, a nurse, and his sisters Olivia and Camilla, a lively churchgoing family whose faith shapes his growing sense of honesty, patience, and kindness. He also shares his love of taking machines apart with the Square One Club.
