John Mark
John Mark is a boy living in Jerusalem at the time of Jesus, a devoted follower of the Master who becomes a friend and guide to Digger Digwillow when the Imagination Station carries Digger into the city at Passover. Welcoming and quick to help a stranger, he takes Digger in, outfits him with a robe and a loaf of bread, and brings him to serve at the table where Jesus shares a meal with his disciples. He stays close to Digger through the darkest hours that follow, watching from a Jerusalem rooftop as the council condemns Jesus and as Peter denies his Master three times, just as Jesus foretold.
