Trigger-Finger Troy
Trigger-Finger Troy is one of the outlaw tenants in a comic Western version of Jesus' parable of the wicked tenants. He joins Headlock Harry and Silver-Saddle Slapper Stephanie in leasing the South Spoon Ranch from Matt Cartwood. Although the tenants sign an agreement, they secretly plan to keep the ranch and its profits. They refuse to pay rent and attack the messengers Matt sends to collect it. When Matt sends his son Jeremy, the gang decides that removing the heir may let them claim the property. Troy's exaggerated frontier identity helps turn the parable into comedy without softening its warning about rejecting the rightful owner and abusing his trust.
