Dale and Ann see Reggie's men forcing Jason into a van and follow them to a warehouse. During the drive, Jason draws information from Reggie and Mycroft. The antiques themselves are made from powdered Koflax, held together and sealed as vases. Their protective coating will begin to melt at room temperature, releasing the deadly bacteria. The climate-controlled crates have kept them safely cold until the museum event.
Mycroft becomes frightened because his daughter is attending the exhibition. He secretly tells Jason that the vases are hidden around a sarcophagus on the museum's third floor. At the warehouse, Jason is locked up with Sue, who apologizes for betraying him. She had tried to protect herself, but now regrets hurting the first people who have treated her decently.
Reggie's men capture Dale and Ann as well, but Dale has already called the Scotland Yard detective. Their warning reaches Billings, who sends a hazardous-materials team to the sarcophagus, evacuates the heads of state, and quarantines the museum. Mycroft also turns against Reggie for his daughter's sake. Police surround the warehouse before Reggie can force Jason to reveal the Alamo code, and the prisoners are freed.
Social services prepare to return Sue to her foster family. She fears losing the freedom and excitement of London, but Jason reminds her that life offers more than surviving on the streets. They part as friends, with Sue joking that she is still adding everything to his unpaid tab.
Only one crate of Koflax vases has been found. Jason reveals that during his confrontation with Grote, he planted a tiny tracking device disguised as a coat button. It leads Jason and Billings through the old heating ducts into the closed fish-and-chips restaurant, where Grote's men are removing the second crate from a refrigerator.
After Grote is captured, Billings turns his gun on him. Grote killed Billings's former partner, Agent Farthing, and Billings intends to seal him inside the coffin with the warming vases so he will die by his own weapon. Jason shares the longing for vengeance but insists that murder is not justice. He is willing to open the coffin even if Billings shoots him. Faced with Jason's resolve, Billings gives up his plan, and Grote and the Koflax remain in MI5 custody.
At midnight, the Alamo program exposes and destroys Grote's criminal network. Yet Jason does not feel victorious. He tells Dale that years spent living behind lies have made it difficult to recognize where the truth ends and the labyrinth begins. He has seen how easily his pursuit of justice could become vengeance and admits that he no longer knows how to live an ordinary life. Dale encourages him to return to Odyssey and seek a way out. Together they pray for God's mercy, peace, and guidance home.
