Doc Morton

Dr. Morton is a physician in Odyssey, one of the town's most prominent doctors, and the mother of Isaac Morton. In a community where sudden accidents, mysterious illnesses, and anxious hospital vigils are a recurring part of life, her profession places her close to some of its most trying moments. Her son Isaac is an earnest, tender-hearted schoolboy - prone to insecurity but willing to work hard and quick to befriend others, even those who wrong him. When a young con artist once tricked Isaac into helping sell shoddy fans all over town, the boy stayed behind to repair them himself and still asked to see the swindler again, simply because he had considered him a friend. Through Isaac, the Morton household is woven into the everyday life of Odyssey's children.
