Kristi McKay

Kristi McKay is a single mother in Odyssey, raising her son Grady and her young daughter Samantha on her own. Her husband walked out on the family without a word, leaving her to hold the household together. Money is tight. She works a janitorial job to make ends meet, and the family lives in a run-down apartment. Her long hours often leave Grady in charge of dinner and his little sister. The family is poor enough to be on the church's list for help. Through it all, Kristi is devoted to her children and deeply grateful for kindness shown to them. Friends such as Whit, Wooton, and Eugene step in where they can, and Wooton in particular helps fill the empty place her husband left behind.
