Elijah

Elijah is a prophet of God in ancient Israel, a figure the children of Odyssey encounter through Whit's Imagination Station. He serves the Lord during a three-year drought, a time when King Ahab and Queen Jezebel have turned the people toward the worship of Baal. Bold and unshakable in his faith, he confronts Ahab and challenges the priests of Baal to a contest on Mount Carmel. There he prays over a water-soaked altar, and fire falls from heaven before the rain finally returns. Jack Davis once traveled with him as his servant while searching for Robyn Jacobs. A widow who fed him found her nearly empty flour bin refilled. Bernard Walton once playfully recast him as a detective who cracked the case of a vineyard stolen from an innocent man.
