Balthazar

Balthazar is one of the three magi, wise men from the east whom Connie and Eugene encounter during an Imagination Station adventure set in the days surrounding the first Christmas. With his two companions he crosses the desert following a mysterious star, seeking a newborn king. Eugene falls in with their caravan and insists the child is in Bethlehem, but the magi expect to find him in Jerusalem and refuse to believe him. At Herod's court the scheming king sends them on to Bethlehem while keeping Eugene behind as a hostage. When the star finally blazes over a little house there, Balthazar and his fellow magi bow before the baby Jesus. They present their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
