Micah Fenton

Micah Fenton is a teenage footballer at Buck Meltsner's school in Baltimore, where he plays as a star receiver. He is also active in a club called Friends, Athletics, Faith, which pairs young athletes with kids who need mentors. His mother is Marla, a forceful presence around the team's supporters. When Buck arrived in town, Micah welcomed him warmly. He invited the newcomer into the club and helped him find his footing at the school. That generosity made him Buck's first real friend there. The friendship soured, though, after Buck won a place on the football team. Buck's success on the field came at Micah's expense, and the two turned from friends into rivals. Their strained bond tests how far Micah's professed faith and sportsmanship really go.
