Suzu Rydell

Suzu Rydell is a quietly brilliant young detective in Odyssey and the adopted sister of Morrie Rydell. Newly arrived from Japan, she attends the local middle school, where her sharp mind quickly makes an impression. She can pick nearly any lock, and she once built her own master key simply to prove it could be done. Codes, riddles, and elaborate schemes come naturally to her, and she notices details that others miss. Reserved and soft-spoken, she keeps her thoughts close, yet she is fiercely loyal. She will bend the rules, and even lie, when she believes it will protect a friend. Her closest bonds are with her brother Morrie and with Emily Jones, her partner in solving mysteries. She also writes weekly letters to her faraway father.
