Cooper Calhoun

Cooper Calhoun is the star quarterback of the Odyssey High School Owls football team. He is the elder son of Joseph Calhoun, a brain surgeon, and Kayla, a television weather forecaster, and the big brother of Trey, whose behind-the-scenes work keeps the high-achieving family running. Cooper is athletic, good-hearted, and openly Christian - after one shaky moment of denying his faith in the locker room, he owns it in front of his teammates and wears the nickname "Reverend" with a grin. He is close friends with his receiver Buck, and he lends his speed and muscle to Emily Jones, Morrie, and Suzu when their investigations turn dangerous. Though he wrestles at times with pride, jealousy, and guilt, Cooper consistently chooses honesty, service, and standing up for others.
