Robyn Jacobs

Robyn Jacobs is the oldest daughter of Dale and Ann Jacobs and the big sister of Melanie. She is a lively, headstrong girl who spends much of her time at Whit's End. There she learns hard lessons from its owner, John Avery Whittaker. Robyn struggles to be on time for anything, and schoolwork does not come easily to her either. Her schemes tend to run ahead of her judgment. She has started her own lawn-mowing business, stretched the truth about a stolen bike, and read Melanie's diary aloud to friends. Yet she owns up to her mistakes and grows through them. A Christian, she works at learning the Bible a little at a time. Her friends include Jessie, Jack Davis, and Oscar, whose dyslexia she learns to understand.
