Morrie Rydell

Morrie Rydell is a brilliant newcomer to Odyssey, a middle schooler with a talent for programming, puzzles, and elaborate plans - and a gift for staying a step ahead of everyone around him. Polite and unassuming on the surface, he delights in games within games, and his tangled schemes often spring from motives kinder than they first appear. He is rarely far from his sister Suzu, a quiet girl every bit as clever as he is, and John Avery Whittaker takes a particular interest in the pair, sensing there is more to Morrie than the boy lets on. His path crosses constantly with young detectives Emily Jones and Matthew Parker, for whom he proves by turns a rival, a riddle, and an ally.
