Max Hampton

Max Hampton is a schoolboy in Odyssey with a talent for making trouble. He teases classmates, pulls pranks, and brags about a life more exciting than the one he actually lives. His favorite target is Mandy Straussberg, a straight-A student he loves to torment with tricks and taunts. Under the swagger, though, Max is a lonely kid putting on a show, and a small act of kindness can reach him when nothing else does. He even hides a soft spot for Mandy that he is too embarrassed to admit. When something matters to him, he can work with surprising dedication, whether on a mechanical jaw for a school report or a secret project in his garage. Trent DeWhite, who once feared him, becomes a friend.
