Trent deWhite

Trent deWhite is a schoolboy in Odyssey and a regular at Whit's End, where he often rides John Whittaker's Imagination Station. He is the younger brother of Jared deWhite and a close friend of Marvin Washington. Trent is bright enough for his school's gifted class, but he is also a chronic worrier. Public speaking terrifies him, and he dreads oral reports, radio interviews, and being called on in class. Again and again he faces those fears anyway, usually with encouragement from Whit and a lot of prayer. He is kind-hearted and honest, quicker to forgive a bully than to fight one, though he wrestles with jealousy when he loses. He also nurses quiet feelings for his friend Mandy, a secret he keeps for a long time.
