Jana Whittaker-Dowd

Jana Whittaker-Dowd is John Whittaker's daughter, a divorced mother raising two children - her son Monty and her daughter Jenny, a self-taught violinist with a genius IQ. Though she lives away from Odyssey, family draws her back, whether her children are spending a summer or a Christmas with their grandfather or trouble calls her to his side. She loves her father and respects him, but the two don't often see eye to eye, and their disagreements over how to raise Monty can flare into open argument. The divorce has left its mark: she struggles at times to talk to her son without shouting, yet she is quick to apologize and determined to do better. Her brothers are Jason and Jerry.
