Doris Rathbone

Doris Rathbone lives in Odyssey and is the wife of Bart Rathbone and the mother of Rodney. Like her husband, she has few scruples. She pockets airline dishes as "souvenirs," joins Bart's schemes without complaint, and once accused an innocent family of shoplifting only to find she was the one who could not pay. When Bart wanted dirt on the town's mayor, Doris and Rodney tailed his car for photographs. Her romance with Bart began fittingly: the two met while separately running scams at a stranger's funeral. They later teamed up on a phony save-the-beagles phone scheme, which ended with both of them arrested together. Family life among the Rathbones is loud and combative - a simple heart-to-heart with Bart can turn into a shouting match.
