Don Iowa
Don Iowa is a member of the Bonsai Corporation who serves as a guest liaison in Hawaii. He looks after Jimmy Barclay and Lawrence Hodges during their stay on the islands. Jimmy won the visit as a prize for his whole family, and Lawrence came along as his friend. Don is helpful and obliging, ready to set aside the official itinerary when his young guests need him. His most notable service came at the USS Arizona Memorial. There Lawrence spotted a man across the harbor who looked exactly like his Navy father, whom he had not seen in two months. With Don's help, Lawrence and Jimmy set out for the naval base to search for him.
