Digger Digwillow

Digger Digwillow is a boy in the town of Odyssey. He is the first person ever to ride the Imagination Station, the invention at Whit's End that carries travelers into history. Digger once dismissed the Bible as boring. Then the machine dropped him into Jerusalem at Passover. There he befriended a boy named John Mark, served at the table of Jesus himself, and witnessed the arrest, the crucifixion, and the empty tomb. He came home filled with something Whit taught him to name: joy. Digger is also the builder of Wonderworld, a treehouse deep in the woods. With imagination used the right way, as Mr. Whittaker taught him, it becomes an ark, a castle, or a secret-agent headquarters. He gladly welcomes friends like Jack Davis and Oscar aboard.
