Billy MacPherson

Billy MacPherson is a grown former member of the Israelites, a secret children's club that John Avery Whittaker once formed to do good deeds around Odyssey without ever taking credit. As a boy, Billy served through the club's two glorious summers, when members used Bible code names and recorded their work in coded minutes. Years later, he was the one member the widow Emma Douglas could still name. That tip led Jack Allen and Jason Whittaker to seek him out, getting lost on the back roads before finding him at a service station. Billy has drifted from church since those days. Receiving the club's old coded chronicles as a gift stirred him to think about going back. To Jack, he was strangely familiar - the lost young man from a dream Jack was sure he had dreamed before.
