Wilson Knox

Wilson Knox is the pastor of Odyssey Community Church and one of John Avery Whittaker's oldest friends. In boyhood he was a bully who ran with a rough gang, until Whit's sister Charlotte led him to faith. He married her, and she died of cancer soon afterward; Whit gave him the money that launched his ministry. He later spent years as a traveling motorcycle pastor. Now he is a warm, self-deprecating counselor who teaches through stories, many drawn from his own failures, on his podcast "Knox On" and in quiet talks with struggling people. Young listeners such as Olivia Parker, Cooper Calhoun, and Bridget Perkins bring him their doubts and guilt. He also has a playful streak, happiest scheming a snowball fight with Whit or joining him on adventures abroad.
