Mandy Straussberg

Mandy Straussberg is a schoolgirl in the town of Odyssey and a familiar face at Whit's End. A straight-A student, she dreams of becoming a writer, and she has already written and staged plays of her own. She is warm-hearted almost to a fault. She answers meanness with kindness, quietly tutoring a bully who torments her and once selling her beloved doll to help a family no one else in town would assist. That gentle spirit makes her loved by nearly everyone around her. She lives with her parents and her brother David, whose pets and pranks regularly try her patience. Her closest friends are Liz Horton and Sarah Prachett, though keeping the peace between strong personalities often falls to her.
