Horus Nernst

Horus Nernst is a brilliant but famously accident-prone resident of Odyssey who serves as Eugene Meltsner's lab assistant. His experiments have a habit of ending in flames, and his gullibility can be dangerous, as when he is tricked into handing over an unstable racing fuel. He is also a tutor, awkward in manner, given to studying at a ping pong table and to showering people with compliments. As an inventor, he helps create the Personality Enhancer, a tiny device meant to boost confidence and focus. His most important relationships are with Eugene, whom he assists, and with his friend Renee Carter. Their friendship begins with mutual flattery for selfish reasons, but she becomes the one who gets his broken inventions working.
