Hadley Bassett
Hadley Bassett is Wooton Bassett's clumsy cousin, part of the comic book artist's family circle in the town of Odyssey. He is present at Wooton's house when a masked intruder ransacks it, and gets knocked to the floor in the process. When an anonymous online writer called the Perilous Pen starts leaking the secrets of Wooton's comics, Penny briefly suspects Hadley of being behind the posts. He clears his name on that count, wandering into Whit's End in search of half-price ice cream at just the right moment. His real offense is different. Hadley takes Wooton's original artwork and tries to sell it off, a betrayal that Wooton ultimately answers with forgiveness rather than anger.
