Bobby Novak

Bobby Novak is one of the young regulars at Whit's End, the soda shop that John Avery Whittaker runs in Odyssey. He is easily bored and just as easily swept up in whatever excitement walks through the door. When Connie Kendall arrived looking for work to earn bus fare back to Los Angeles, Bobby was instantly starstruck by the girl from California. He even announced he was packing a suitcase to go with her. His enthusiasm tends to land him in over his head. When Amy Duran flooded his mailbox and school desk with love notes, he tried a scheme from Officer Harley to discourage her without being cruel, and it backfired completely. Through such scrapes, Whit is usually nearby with honest, if sometimes hard, advice.
