Artie Powell

Artie Powell is a young boy in the town of Odyssey and one of seven Powell children. Growing up in such a crowded house is not always easy for him. He shares a bathroom, and even a toothbrush, with his siblings, and he sometimes finds them a big pain. His closest friends are Jimmy Barclay and Curt Stevens. He is a regular at Whit's End, where he badgers the window washer Bernard Walton into telling him Bible stories and pronounces him a first-rate storyteller. Artie is willing to pitch in, too. He shows up early alongside Jimmy when John Avery Whittaker offers the kids money to clean up the little theater. He also takes part in Whittaker's Shakespeare show, winning the role of Juliet over Jimmy himself.
