Arthur Dent
Arthur Dent is the general manager of Novacom, the media company that arrives in Odyssey with deep pockets and big promises. He serves as the firm's smooth public face. When Novacom's signals jam the local airwaves, it is Dent who apologizes and pledges family-friendly programming. He is also the company's dealmaker. He approaches Tom Riley with a generous offer to put a broadcast tower on unused Timothy Center land, arriving just when Tom's struggling ministry needs money most. His polished charm helps Novacom spread through town, buying up buildings and goodwill alike, even as John Avery Whittaker grows uneasy about what Odyssey's newest neighbor is really hiding.
