Dr. William Foster

Dr. William Foster is a government physician and an agent with the department of health. He watches Whit's End while Whit secretly operates a modified Imagination Station late at night. His presence in a dark car adds to Connie and Bernard's suspicion that Whit's exhausting work has attracted official attention. Foster observes as Whit tries to help Eugene Meltsner recover memories lost during a dangerous experiment involving his brain. Although he remains outside the close circle conducting the memory work, his medical and government role connects the private crisis at Whit's End with the serious consequences of Eugene's earlier research.
