Tamika Washington

Tamika Washington is a girl in Odyssey, the daughter of Ed and Elaine Washington and the younger sister of Marvin. Her father runs the Whit's End shop in nearby Connellsville, and the family lives in the old McAlister house. Tamika is bright and capable, outdoing Marvin in school and sports, and she plays keyboard, takes piano and dance lessons, and writes songs. She can be blunt, competitive, and quick to speak her mind, but she has a warm heart and takes her faith seriously, memorizing Scripture and wrestling honestly with what it means. She names John Avery Whittaker as her hero. When her family takes in a troubled girl named Kelly, the two clash at first before becoming close and writing songs together.
