Kelly

Kelly is a ten-year-old runaway who arrives in Odyssey alone by bus after her drunken mother throws her out. She has suffered abuse at home and at first sleeps on a park bench, with only a talking doll for company. She is a gifted musician who plays the piano beautifully despite never taking a lesson, and she writes her own songs. Hurt and distrustful, she can be prickly, and she has a history of smoking, stealing, and lying. Ed and Elaine Washington take her into their home, where she slowly learns what real love looks like. She shares a bedroom with their daughter Tamika. The two clash at first but become songwriting partners. Through adventures in Whit's Imagination Station, the faith she has only heard about becomes her own.
