Mike Roberts is the father of Jenny Roberts, a blind girl known in Odyssey for her sharp ears, keen memory, and courage. He lives with Jenny's mother, and the two of them stay ready to come for their daughter when she needs them. When Jenny's weekend visit with her pen pal Melanie Jacobs turned sour, Jenny called her parents to pick her up. The visit was mended before the car pulled away, and the two girls left it as true friends. Jenny later became the star witness in a bookstore robbery and kidnapping case, which she helped the police solve from sound and memory alone.
