Mrs. Clark

Mrs. Clark is the mother of Erica and Hayley Clark, two young sisters growing up in Odyssey. She is seen mostly through the eyes of Erica, her older daughter, who considers her impossibly strict. In Erica's telling, her mother says no to everything and piles chore on top of chore. She enforces bedtimes and expects homework to be done, rules her daughter has been known to resent. Fed up with that regime, Erica once marched into Whit's End and demanded a real grown-up job, only to learn that adult life was harder than it looked. Hayley, the younger of the two girls, is the little sister Erica complains about as a pest. Through it all, Mrs. Clark holds the household to its routines.
