Officer Stew Burke

Stew Burke is an officer with the Odyssey police force. He serves a small town where the police regularly cross paths with John Avery Whittaker and the regulars of Whit's End. Burke is the officer who hauls Whit to the station for questioning over a hit-and-run. The offending car was bought in Whit's name while Whit was away in Chicago. That interview turns out to be the first visible sign of a stolen identity, with credit cards, bank accounts, and expensive purchases all fraudulently opened under Whit's name. Burke's role in the case is brief but memorable, since it puts the town's most trusted citizen on the wrong side of a police desk.
