Spencer Hicks
Spencer Hicks is the mayor of Odyssey, the man responsible for the town and the people who live in it. He takes that responsibility seriously, and there is very little he will not do to keep the town safe. That resolve was tested when Superstorm Elpis soaked Odyssey for weeks and pushed Trickle Lake toward the top of its failing dam. Facing a likely flood, he ordered the whole town to evacuate. He also shut down Odyssey's power so that Eugene Meltsner could reboot the dam's waterlogged control computer from a laptop. He is decisive in a crisis and willing to make drastic calls - cutting the lights on his own town among them - when the safety of his people demands it.
