Ronald Perkins
Ronald "Ron" Perkins is a United States Marine captain living in Odyssey with his wife, Carla, and their two children, Bridget and Wyatt. His long overseas deployments - at times seven thousand miles from home - shape much of his family's life, and his children feel his absence keenly even as he stays close to them through calls and visits on leave. A devoted father, he urges Wyatt toward responsibility and manhood and takes an active hand in raising him, preferring to guide his son himself. Wounded in the line of duty while saving a fellow Marine - an act that costs him the use of his hand - he receives the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star for his courage under fire.
