Kim Peterson

Kim Peterson is a schoolgirl in Odyssey and the best friend of Erica Clark. The two share a best-friend necklace whose halves join to form a pink flamingo. Their friendship has survived real strain. Erica once lost her temper at Kim and drove her away, though she later apologized. Another rift opened when Kim missed nearly all of Erica's birthday party at Whit's End, sidetracked by a seventy-percent-off shoe sale. Around that same time Kim lost a play part she had wanted, but the two girls eventually made up and went to the movies together. Kim can also hold her own at school. She once beat Sam Johnson in a spelling bee, the final event of the Academic Olympics, and took home the trophy.
