Frank Wise

Frank Wise is Penny Wise's father, a steelworker from Pittsburgh with a great fondness for bacon. He is married to Eleanor, and his younger daughter is Penny's sister Charlotte. Frank is a practical, plainspoken man who is happiest with a tool belt on and something to repair. Fixing things is how he feels useful, and he will cheerfully work his way through every broken item in a house. He can be gruff, grumbling through a bad bowling game or bristling at fussy company, but his devotion to his family runs deep. He cares less about polish than honesty. He wants his daughters to be themselves, and he gives his blessing to Penny's marriage to Wooton Bassett only once he sees the real Penny again.
