Eric Myers

Eric Myers is a boy in Odyssey and a star player on the town's soccer team. He lives with his mother, Julie, and his little sister, Brooke. The family moved to Odyssey while his father, Ernie, was serving a prison sentence, a secret Eric guarded out of shame. Rodney Rathbone taunts him about it, and Eric works hard to distance himself from his father's actions. He is honest and hardworking, shoveling driveways to earn money, and quietly compassionate - he once gave up a big game to help a widowed cleaning lady move. Whit, who hired Julie at Whit's End, is a steady friend to the family. Eric's hardest struggle is forgiving the father whose conviction still shadows the family's name.
