Bible Verse Mirror
The Bible Verse Mirror is one of John Avery Whittaker's inventions at Whit's End, his shop in the town of Odyssey. It is a voice-activated talking mirror, built to help children memorize Scripture. It sits in the Bible Room, which Whit created after discovering that Connie Kendall had been reading kids their horoscopes and handing out lucky rabbit's feet. Whit wanted the children of Odyssey to have the Bible instead of false luck, and the mirror is part of his answer. It shares the room with other hands-on wonders, including the armor of God, a giant fish, and Jericho walls that really fall. Kids such as Jack Davis poke at it when they explore the room. The mirror is not unbreakable - Connie once broke it while trying to fix it during a weekend Whit spent away.
