Aman
Aman is a woman of the Ashanti tribe who lives in a remote African village far from Odyssey. She is the mother of a young boy named Kwame. Her village has been cut off from the outside world for more than twenty years, and its people live under a heavy fear of curses. Aman stands apart from that fear. When Eugene and Katrina arrive and the frightened villagers shun them, she is the one who reaches out. A small kindness shown to her son wins her heart and her trust. She keeps her village's memory of a long-lost friend and shares what others will not speak of. When distrust threatens to tear the Ashantis apart, it is Aman who pleads for help.
