Nina Lee

Nina Lee, born Nina Hankins, was a young third-class passenger aboard the Titanic in 1912. She traveled with her father, Reverend Hankins, and befriended a messenger boy named Henry while exploring the enormous ship. After the iceberg struck, Nina escaped in a lifeboat and eventually began a new life in Odyssey. The mayor and his wife took her into their home, which later became Whit's End. Her father's old piano filled the house during regular hymn sings and preserved letters, a journal, and Nina's recorded memories inside it. Curious, resilient, and shaped by both terrible loss and generous care, Nina became part of the hidden history of the building where generations of Odyssey children later gathered.
