Dr. Langford Hunt
Dr. Langford Hunt is a longtime colleague of the inventor Eugene Meltsner and is based in Baltimore. He works with the Foundation that backs Eugene's memory-restoring breakthrough, a printed replacement for the hippocampus, the part of the brain that stores memory. Hunt reported the smooth surgery of the technology's first patient, an older man named Vernon Hancock. When news of the breakthrough brought a flood of funding, Hunt offered Eugene the post of head of the Foundation's Department of Neural Research. As a recruiter he is lavish and persuasive. He courted the whole Meltsner family with a rent-free penthouse apartment, complete with a pool, a gym, a game room, and a bedroom already decorated for Eugene's son Buck.
