Chief Grady
Chief Grady leads Odyssey's fire department during a bomb threat at the Scheimholz Building. He arrives with his firefighters after an elevator carrying Whit and radio host Bryan Dern becomes jammed between floors. A fallen pipe is caught in the pulley rigging, a sledgehammer cannot free it, and the needed power saw is delayed in traffic. The emergency becomes worse when a bomb is found at the bottom of the elevator shaft, wired around the car's base. With no safe way to remove it or cut its wires before the deadline, Grady and the other rescuers must withdraw. His response places him at the center of one of Odyssey's strangest emergencies.
