Eva Parker is the mother of Odyssey's Parker family - wife of architect David and mom to Olivia, Matthew, and Camilla. A part-time nurse, she juggles hospital shifts with the constant whirl of family life, and she puts her medical skills to work beyond the ward, from health fairs to mission clinics abroad. Eva is warm but clear-eyed, the practical counterweight to her husband's grand schemes, quick to gather up every screen in the house when togetherness is slipping away. Her deepest struggle is with her own mother, Lucia, whose visits and expectations Eva finds nearly impossible to refuse - she says yes to everything to honor her, often at real cost to herself. Still, she models honesty and courage for her children, even facing her own lifelong fears to show them how it's done.
