Brian McCarthy

Brian McCarthy is a boy in the town of Odyssey and a friend of Jay. The two once sneaked into Whit's End after hours to record a Burger Barn jingle in the walk-in freezer. They forgot to turn the freezer back on, and every scoop of ice cream melted, including treats meant for thirty children at the hospital. As a consequence, Whit required each boy to perform one kind act every day for thirty days, all caught on video. Brian began the assignment as a punishment but slowly came to mean it. He once finished a weary mother's whole yard in secret. Even after the month ended, he kept finding good work to do. His quiet, genuine kindness now sets him apart from his more scheming friend.
