June Kendall

June Kendall is the mother of Connie Kendall and a niece of Joe Finneman, living in Odyssey, where she and her daughter settled from California after her divorce from Connie's father, Bill. She works an office job, where she learns firsthand the cost of honesty when telling her boss an unwelcome truth loses her a promotion. Quietly wise and speaking from hard experience, she counsels Connie that the hurt of a broken family never fully goes away, but life goes on and you keep doing what you're supposed to do. Having long leaned on her daughter's faith, she comes to a faith of her own through Connie. She is a warm, steady presence in her daughter's life - sitting with her through heartbreak, convinced that being there matters more than understanding.
