Cody Carper

Cody Carper is a boy in Odyssey who wants badly to be accepted by the other kids. New to his school, he will do almost anything to fit in. He once ate a disgusting sandwich and gave away his remote-controlled car and Louisville Slugger on the empty promise of joining a secret club. He is a pushover by nature, but he is learning to stand his ground - he eventually reclaims his belongings and speaks up when he knows he is right. Cody spends time at Whit's End, where Whit guides him through his troubles with stories of mercy and courage. He owns a dog named Rambo. He is often drawn into schemes by Jared DeWhite, though his conscience usually wins out. He also faces bullies at school, and he learns that loving your enemies might include them too.
