Zara

Zara is a trapeze performer in her Uncle Max's circus and the sister of fellow acrobat Rugen. When a partly cut rope sends Rugen into the safety net, she becomes convinced that a saboteur is attacking the show. Other accidents strengthen her fears, and Zara suspects one of the clowns, especially the silent mime Noodles. Her assumption reflects the deep divide between prestigious headliners and less-respected performers. Emily and Matthew's investigation reveals that Noodles is secretly knife thrower Esteban and that worker Nina caused the disasters to prove her importance. Zara and the others choose to forgive Nina rather than cast her out, while making clear that lost trust must be rebuilt through dependable actions. Protective and intense, Zara learns that suspicion based on group loyalty can hide the truth instead of uncovering it.
