Walter Madison
Walter Madison is a pastor and missions-board worker serving in southern Alaska. He leads a church and operates a successful radio station, where Jason Whittaker joins him in ministry. When normally friendly people begin fighting over trivial matters, Walter recognizes that the community may be facing a spiritual struggle. He and Jason respond by praying together. Walter is also careful about the people entering their work. He notices that supposed intern Paula Jarvis gives answers that do not match her resume and questions why she does not know a missionary she should have encountered. His pastoral concern combines prayer, practical leadership, and alert judgment.
