Officer Tim Hartzel

Officer Tim Hartzel is an Odyssey policeman and a former friend of Vic Hamilton, a man convicted of bank robbery. By the time Vic escapes custody, Hartzel no longer believes his claims that bank teller Brad Diamond framed him. Connie Kendall's rescue by Vic and her questions reopen doubts the official case had buried. A bird watcher's camera finally captures evidence that Brad and Vic met, contradicting Brad's denial and giving police reason to review the conviction. Hartzel joins the effort to stop Vic before anger leads him into violence aboard Brad's boat. His broken trust with an old friend makes the case personal, but new evidence creates an opportunity for justice. Hartzel must balance public safety with the possibility that the law got the wrong man.
